Don was born in Hamilton, Texas on May 10, 1945, and passed away August 2, 2019 in Tyler, Texas.  Although he grew up in Hamilton, most of his adult life was spent in Mount Pleasant, Texas where he raised his family and in Mount Vernon where he lived until his death.

He is survived by his two daughters, Le’Anna Haynes and Adrienne Haynes of Stephenville, Texas;  two sisters, Cora Marcum of Lebanon, Missouri, Alice Ault of Hamilton, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G.P. and Rosellen Haynes, brothers Paul, Clarence, Norman, Joe Frank and Alvin Haynes, and sisters, Rose Whitaker and Lucille Dodson.

Don was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War.  He worked as a Pit Foreman for Texas Utilities Mining Company and retired after eighteen years.  He spent the remainder of his life farming, fishing, hunting, spending time with friends and family, and watching his beloved Texas Rangers.

Don was a beloved father, brother, son-n-law, uncle and friend and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
