Wesley Thomas McConnell

Wesley Thomas McConnell, age 46, of Scroggins, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The family will have a private funeral service and then there will be a Celebration of Life service that will be scheduled at a later date for family and friends.

Wesley was born on March 18, 1978, in Pittsburg, Texas to Tommy Crim and Anne Louise McConnell. He married Christal Lee Jackson on April 17, 2023, in Leesburg, Texas.  Wesley worked at Collvin’s Collision and other shops. He specialized in auto restoration, body shop work, mechanic work, and carpenter work as well.  He was a Christian and a member of Eaves Tabernacle Baptist Church in Leesburg.  He raised Pitt Bulls as a hobby but loved all animals. Wesley enjoyed going camping, fishing, or anything having to do with outdoors. He loved cooking on the smoker, playing pool, and spending time with his family, especially his wife and son.

He was preceded in death by both sides of grandparents, Fred & Buna McConnell and Bill & Marjorie Fogazzi; uncles, Bill Fogazzi, Jr., H. Bruce Petty, and J. Mack McConnell; aunts, Linda McConnell Petty, and JoAnn McConnell.

Survivors include his wife, Christal McConnell and son, Mikel Thomas McConnell of Scroggins; son, Kaden Drew McConnell of Sulphur Springs, TX; his parents, Tommy and Anne McConnell of Leesburg; sisters-in-law, Courtney Pauline Bean and her husband, Cody Dwayne Bean and Heather Diane Jackson; Father-in law and mother-in-law, Andrew and Marjorie Jackson; aunts, Sandra Smith, Jane Lindley, Melba Ann McConnell, Janice Deluna, Cindy McWhorter; uncle, Daniel Fogazzi. Nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
