Funeral arrangements for Courtney Paige Grigsby, age 29, of Plano, Texas, who passed away on Friday, April 5th, 2024, in Plano.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Vernon, TX followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Richard Cox. Pallbearers will be Ben Grigsby, Richard Grigsby, Javier Contreras, Adam Grigsby, Rodney Grigsby, and Caston McCormack. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jeff Hopson. Interment to take place at Tranquil Cemetery in Winfield, Texas.
Courtney was born on June 6, 1994, in Terrell, TX to Jeff Hopson and Lee'a Spharler Hopson. She was a great daughter, a loving mother, dedicated wife, and loyal sister and friend. She came to the Lord in 2016 and remained faithful in her new life as a Christian. Courtney was a professional nail technician who was well respected by her clients and colleagues due to her sincere passion and dedication to her work. She enjoyed working with children and had a natural gentleness towards them. On September 5th of 2019, she married Ben Grigsby in Franklin County, Texas and they have one child together, Paisley Mae Grigsby.
She grew up a fan of Disney films, an avid music lover, and enjoyed cooking and preparing meals, her specialty being various seafood dishes. She was a loving and affectionate mother to Paisley Mae, she and Ben's four-year-old daughter. She was an old soul, shared her father’s love for classic country and loved stories. Courtney is loved and cherished by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles “Charlie” Ross Spharler and step-grandfather, Robert “Bone” Ramirez; grandparents, John Ray and Betty Ruth Hopson; and a brother, Lee Whitley Hopson.
She is survived by beloved husband, Ben Grigsby of Mount Vernon; her precious daughter, Paisley Mae Grigsby; her father, Jeff Hopson; her stepmother, Amy Hazlett Smith; her mother, Lee'a Contreras and husband, Javier; sister, Jessica Hopson; grandmother, Barbara Ramirez; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Richard and Kirsten Grigsby; brother-in-law, Adam Grigsby and wife Madison; and sister-in-law, Chloe Grigsby.
